EUMGA Summit 2024 ( EuMGS 2024)
The European MG Summit brought together patient associations, scientific experts, and stakeholders from across Europe for two days of collaboration, strategy, and inspiration.
The summit served as a platform to share achievements, discuss challenges, and shape the future of MG advocacy.
Highlights from the event included:
• The EUMGA Strategy and Plan 2025 presentation focuses on unmet needs on MG and emergencies, youth advocacy, the importance of raising awareness, connecting with policy-makers, and enhanced collaboration across borders.
• A series of interactive workshops addressing key topics such as diagnosis, access, and the role of young patients and advocates in driving change.
• Inspiring presentations from 19 European MG patient associations, showcasing innovative projects and achievements across Europe.
The event also marked the official introduction of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) and a new Scientific Working Group.
A detailed charter outlining the SAB’s goals and structure was presented. Members of the SAB introduced themselves and formally signed the charter, solidifying their commitment to EUMGA’s objectives.
The SAB comprises renowned neurologists, recognized globally for their expertise in myasthenia gravis, their invaluable contributions to scientific research, and their strong connection to the MG community and patient organizations.
The Scientific Working Group complements this by including patient advocates and individuals living with MG who are also healthcare professionals, ensuring a diverse and holistic perspective on the challenges and needs of the MG community.
